We're trying to work something out. We're trying to steal "work" back from the lethal itinerary of capitalist production. In this song-cycle, The Lonely Painter Project looks to the rising action of bread-making and the labor of African-American spiritual musics as ways of recuperating time, resisting own-ability, and reaching toward a practice - a politics - of inefficiency.
